The Euroa Arboretum is a 27-hectare site located on the outskirts of the Euroa township. The Euroa Arboretum is a Not-for-Profit business with. It has a volunteer Committee for Euroa Arboretum Incorporated (EAI) that oversees the management requirements of the site as well as project development and delivery of natural resource management priorities in the local area. Euroa Arboretum operations and services include a native nursery, seedbank, landscape restoration and education & community engagement activities.
The Goulburn Broken Indigenous Seedbank (GBIS) is a joint project between the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority and Euroa Arboretum. The GBIS was formed due to an increasing demand for indigenous seed provision for the large amount of revegetation occurring in the Goulburn Broken Catchment. The long-term goal of the GBIS is to provide genetically robust, diverse seed, adapted to a drying climate.
The GBIS is based out of the Euroa Arboretum, Euroa.
About the Role
We are seeking a suitably experienced person to join the team as Seed Processing Coordinator.
Under direction of the Seedbank Manager, you will coordinate and manage the day-to-day cleaning, storage and distribution of seed collected from indigenous vegetation across the Goulburn Broken Catchment. This includes the accurate input of information into the seedbank database and responsibility for the upkeep of seedbank facilities. With the assistance of the Seedbank Manager you will also coordinate responses to customer enquiries, seed orders and preparation for direct seeding orders. Where needed, you will also support the Seedbank team in undertaking seed collecting activities.

Selection Criteria
- Experience in plant identification and environmental management activities, particularly in the area of seed collection, storage and database management.
- Experience in staff supervision, including the requirements for staff working outdoors.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritise tasks and forward plan.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
