Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a supportive and enthusiastic Self-Employment Assistance Consultant to be part of Training Alliance Group’s (TAG) expanding team.
About the Role
TAG has delivered a suite of programs to job seekers in Western Australia since 2012. Our approach maximises awareness & engagement while co-designing a solution to support new and small businesses in WA. Workshops will highlight the benefits of business ownership while explaining & simplifying the establishment process. Our suite of assessments provide insight, allowing targeted support. High quality training and mentoring helps new business owners to overcome barriers & develop capacity.
As a Self-Employment Assistance Consultant you will be proactively engaging individuals and focusing on customer service and the high quality of program delivery. Core activities include:
- Providing support in successfully promoting and delivering the Self-Employment Assistance program.
- Supporting individuals to develop high quality business plans, optimising the success rate for their new business
- Conducting initial and ongoing mentoring sessions to check in on their progress and provide guidance as needed
- Assisting individuals to proactively engage in activities that will assist them in working towards their program goals
- Liaising with stakeholders and ensuring delivery is aligned to the local workforce needs.
This is a permanent full-time role and the successful applicant must be willing to travel as needed throughout the three regions TAG operates in, which are
- Perth North
- Kalgoorlie
- Great Southern Wheatbelt
About You
To be successful in this role you will:
- Possess a sound understanding and demonstrated experience in the Self-Employment Assistance program (previously known as NEIS) or Employment Services industry.
- Have strong time management skills and a proven ability to self-motivate to achieve KPIs and program objectives.
- Work within a performance focussed culture
- Understand the local labour market and have the ability to liaise with people on all levels.
- Be able to work under pressure as well as prioritise and complete work within established deadlines.
- Possess excellent IT and administration skills.
- Have flexibility to travel as needed.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110 including units TAEASS502 and TAELLN411) or higher.
- Hold the necessary qualifications to deliver Certificate III (BSB30220) and IV (BSB40320) in Entrepreneurship and New Business units.
