Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic red trucks to deliver for customers? As our Semi Truck Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted business in Sunshine West, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!
You’ll be
- Safely loading your truck with cages for delivery
- Driving our modern Semi trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups
- Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
- Start and finish your shifts in our Sunshine West Facility
- Flexible to work occasional overtime and weekends as required
- Day/Afternoon shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster
- Additional 15-30% loading on top of base rate and tonnage allowance + super
About you
You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable, and love autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.
You’ll also need to
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Hold a relevant Heavy Combination or Multi Combination license
- Hold a current and valid Forklift license
- Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility
- Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills
- You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 120kgs or less
- Be fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes and weights
- Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
