About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting & Tax, to be accountable for the management of consolidated accounts and corporate entities from a statutory and compliance perspective. Your duties may include:
- Coordinate and / or prepare the half and full year statutory accounts and other financial reports for all Australian business units, together with the Group consolidation.
- Coordinate and / or compile the half and full year end audit files, including working papers.
- Liaise with external auditors in respect to the completion of the statutory accounts and audit functions.
- Maintain and communicate accounting policy changes in response to changes in Accounting Standards.
- Prepare income tax returns for all entities in the Group.
- Prepare the FBT, GST, BAS, EMDG application, research and development claim.
- Prepare consolidated management accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flow to support monthly Board reporting requirements.
- Ensure the monthly maintenance of all required consolidation journals within ERP to ensure reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly accounts and annual budgets for the corporate entities and other business units as required.
As a CA or CPA qualified accountant, you will have a background in servicing private clients, ideally from a Big 4 or large firm. You will also have:
- Taxation experience (direct and indirect tax, tax effect accounting
- Energetic and Positive attitude
- Advanced excel modelling
- ERP experience (MS Dynamics / SAP / TM1)
- Experience working within in an engineering, manufacturing or heavy industry environment – desirable
