Job description

Technical training from both a mentor and Partners. Flexibility in your working hours and ability to WFH one day a week. Positive culture with people rarely in the office past 5pm. The Directors understand the need for developing the technical skills of staff so you can rest assured that you will continue to grow in the role. You will have plenty of client contact as they encourage staff to see clients and be the first point of call. With the desire to ensure junior staff are challenged, you will assist on the advisory work required for your clients and have the freedom to identify opportunities for those who may need value added work undertaken for them.They have one on one mentors like most firms, but you will also get open and direct access to Partners anytime you want. This means that you are not only learning from someone that has a couple of years more experience than yourself but getting the benefit of the decades of experience held with the Partners who are heavily involved in your training.
This decades old practice is led by experienced Directors who value a high level of integrity in their staff. They have a focus on reliable service to their multitude of clients that span industries but include specialities in the healthcare and agribusiness sectors. These businesses typically have turnovers in the $1-5m range but you will also get exposure to clients in the $10-15m range. They offer a one stop service with a financial planning arm that you will liaise with.
Once through their probation period, staff get flexibility in relation to hours. You can work from home one day a week and they will work with you to accommodate the hours that you want. There are no extra hours required with most of the office leaving by 5pm and the employees stay connected with a weekly Friday lunch and afternoon drinks.
The role will see you undertaking a broad range of duties. In addition to compliance (preparation of financial statements, tax returns and BAS) you will get involved with advising on issues such as strategic planning; cash flow management; tax advice; and accounting software solutions.
Seeking 3 + years Business Services experience within an Australian public accounting practice.
