The Women's Services Team at the Mackay Base Hospital are seeking applications for a Senior Administration Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
- This role assists the Business Manager and other senior staff to ensure effective delivery and management of administration functions within the Operations Mackay portfolio, including financial, human resource and clinical support.
- The Senior Administration Officer reports operationally to the Business Manager and coordinates the rostering and backfill of administration staff within the WHU.
Mackay Base Hospital Women's Services operates within a Maternity Co-Design philosophy that involves working in partnership with maternity consumers, our community and staff from all of our facilities to develop a contemporary women centred model of maternity care.
The Women's Health Service is defined as a level 4 Maternity and Neonatal Service as defined in the Clinical Services Capability Framework. The unit is capable of providing maternity care for low and moderate-risk women. The service is multi-disciplinary and offers several maternity models of care, including providing or referring to midwifery community care. Antenatal care for women with moderate risk of obstetric complications may be on-site or in the community under the care of a midwife or registered medical practitioner in consultation with or under the care of an obstetrician, also known as Shared Care. Multi-disciplinary team care is provided to women with high-risk pregnancies; the Antenatal Diabetes clinic is a combined team effort which provides women access to Medical, Obstetric and Endocrinology care and a qualified Diabetes Educator.
