The role
Take the lead in developing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge Electrical Safety systems, crucial for maintaining our prestigious electrical contractor license. As a proactive team member, you will monitor health and safety performance, staying ahead of industry trends. Your role ensures compliance with legislation and policies, while also drive initiatives to address crucial Electrical Safety and building construction risks within our dynamic health system. Your responsibilities includes:
- Manage governance and assurance arrangements, overseeing audits and compliance reporting.
- Coordinate monitoring, review, and escalation of safety incidents, breaches, and concerns.
- Ensure up-to-date communication of legislation, codes, standards, and safety information.
- Provide expert advice on legislative requirements and compliance to Electrical Safety standards.
- Contribute to managing risks associated with electrical work and building construction.
As our Senior Advisor, Electrical Safety, you will demonstrate:
- Solid understanding and experience with Electrical Safety legislations
- Familiarity with standards like AS/NZ3000 (The Wiring Rules) and AS/NZS3003 (Patient Areas), along with other Australian Electrical standards.
- Knowledge of applicable Electrical Codes of Practice and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and research skills for systematic review and implementation of Electrical Safety processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build rapport and establish connections.
