AgriFor Scientific Pty Ltd is a Contract Research Organisation (CRO) established in Sydney, Australia in 2003. AgriFor Scientific Pty Ltd is a NATA accredited GLP Test Facility. Our vision is to provide World Class analytical services to our clients seeking to register agricultural chemicals in key International markets. Agrifor staff have unique knowledge, expertise and intellectual property in agricultural chemicals across a broad range of chemical and physical testing. We specialise in 5 batch analysis and physical and chemical analysis of agricultural chemicals. We have proven experience in key markets assisting our clients with successful regulatory outcomes. Our scientific reports are being used Internationally for registration of active constituents in the EU, USA (US EPA), Brazil, Latin America and Asia Pacific regions.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Project Chemist with experience in and focused on physical and chemical testing. The role is full-time and you will be reporting to the Scientific Director. This is an ideal role for an experienced chemist who has 7-10 years experience in food / environmental sector and may be pursuing PhD qualifications or seeking full-time employment.

Skills and experience
To be successful for this position, you will:
- Have a MSc or PhD qualification in Organic Chemistry or equivalent.
- Have strong analytical chemistry knowledge including synthetic chemistry understanding and profiling actives and impurities.
- Experience in scientific project work, including but not limited to, method development, sample preparation, HPLC analysis, GC analysis, GC-MS Analysis, LC-MS Analysis, NMR, FTIR analysis, KF analysis. Instrument maintenance experience is preferred.
- Must be proficient in HPLC, HPLC/MS and GC/MS techniques.
- Must be self motivated to complete individual projects within given time frames. Able to work is small project teams undertaking chemical analysis, data interpretation, statistical analysis, collating data and reporting.
- Compliance with the OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice
- Strong reporting skills of high standards meeting international regulatory requirements. An eye for detail.
