Eurofins Agroscience Australia/New Zealand is a leading provider of analytical services, regulatory consulting and technical support to the crop protection industry, seed businesses and veterinary medicine companies. Our technical activities involve conducting field and laboratory studies to determine the safety and efficacy of new agrochemicals, veterinary medicines/pharmaceuticals and crop varieties. We offer outstanding technical knowledge and project management skills, and are experts in managing field and laboratory studies, including GLP residue studies, analytical method development and physico-chemical property testing.
Job Description
- Full-time, permanent role.
- Location based in Girraween.
- Opportunity to work as part of a pioneering and dedicated team committed to continuous growth and development.
- Preparing draft reports for review by the Business Unit Manager or by Managing Director.
- Project management
- Acting as PI (analytical phase) or Study Director for GLP studies (where appropriately trained).
- Maintaining NATA signatory status for testing, as and where appropriate.
- Developing and validating test methods for use within the laboratory.
- Writing of AA test methods (AATMs), Work Instructions and other Laboratory Quality Manual Documents.
- Reviewing equipment calibration data for acceptability.
- Calibration of equipment.
- Training chemists, technicians and laboratory assistants in new procedures and techniques. Verifying training for Staff Training Records.
- Liaising with customers on such matters as turnaround time and project completion dates and relevance and significance of test results
- Diploma or Certificate in Chemistry or other related discipline plus 5 years experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory
- Experience with and knowledge of LC-MS-MS techniques
