  • Opportunity to join the Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) in the Global Transaction Services (GTS) Client Development team

Global Transaction Services (GTS) provides transactional banking, client experience and solution implementation for institutional customers, as well as manages the bank's payment networks, the regulatory and payments strategy agenda, and the end-to-end payments operations, including clearing and settlements.

How will I help?

You will be directly supporting our Consumer & Industrials and Natural Resources portfolios and will be responsible for service delivery and support of a portfolio of public sector clients. The role will act as the client's primary point of contact to establish new services and for requests relating to existing services. You will be acting as a key point of contact for existing clients, but you will also advance your business development skills by working closely with Client Development Managers to complete sales-to-service activities.

You will:

  • Build relationships with our clients and an understanding of their transaction banking requirements through regular interaction and great customer service
  • Respond to all assigned client enquiries within defined service standards, resolving matters competently, ethically, and commercially
  • Proactively anticipate client needs and what products, solutions, and offerings are best suited for the situation

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you will be a pro-active individual with experience in managing and understanding transactional banking client needs, within an operations, client service and relationship management or transactional banking product environment. You will have strong business acumen and will understand the importance of managing and maintaining sustainable relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.

Further advantageous skills:

  • Understanding of the sales process with experience identifying different sales solutions and products for the client
  • Ability to develop an understanding of the client and industry sector to ensure superior service is provided
  • Highly developed negotiation, influencing and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills
