Senior Associate - Corporate And Commercial (Private Equity) - Sydney

Our client, a national law firm has over 60 partners and over 450 staff members with practices across corporate & commercial, energy & resources, banking & finance, competition & regulation, construction & projects, dispute resolution & litigation, environment, real estate and employment law.

The Sydney Corporate & Commercial group advise on public and private M&A, equity capital markets, Private Equity, corporate governance, and general corporate & commercial advice across the health, intellectual property, technology and telecommunications sectors.
 
Position Description
 
Due to growth, the Sydney Corporate & Commercial practice is now looking for a talented Senior Associate to work closely with one of the four highly regarded partners in the group.

As part of this group, this role will see you regularly advise domestic and international clients on capital raisings, Private Equity, private M&A, joint ventures, ASX Listing Rules as well as Corporations Act compliance and corporate governance. 
 
With a number of transactions under foot and many more in the pipeline, you will walk into a busy practice from day one dealing directly with the group’s clients.

Requirements
 
The successful candidate will have between 6-9 years experience from a recognised corporate practice. Ideally you will have exposure to private M&A and Private Equity transactions. 
 
In addition to this, you will:

• Have excellent communication and negotiation skills;
• Have an ability to develop and foster long term client relationships;
• Have an ability to work in a team and autonomously; and
• Be focused on delivering commercially sound and cost effective solutions.
