Senior Associate, Corporate & Commercial, (5-8 Years Pqe)

Our client is a highly successful Australian law firm with offices currently interstate. Due to growth and an extensive portfolio of work in Sydney, they are expanding the business into Adelaide and seeking a talented Senior Associate with a corporate commercial background, for a pivotal role in the newly established team.

You will report directly to the Partner and be part of a high performance and close-knit legal team working in a collaborative and flexible environment.

Responsibilities

• Transaction matters such M&A, including the sale and purchase of property
• Instructing matters from establishment to scaling to exit strategy
• Day-to-day commercial matters including service agreements, commercial contracts, governance, terms and conditions and polices
• Intellectual property and
• Data and privacy matters

The Successful Candidate

• Relevant law degree with strong academics
• Hold an unsupervised practising certificate as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia or the High Court of Australia
• Influential and values-led legal professional with 5-8 years’ post qualification experience
• Experience in commercial law, M&A and corporate advisory from a leading law firm
• Strong technical skills and commercial drafting experience are both essential
• A proactive, positive, and energetic approach with a commitment to provide excellent service and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong leadership skills and passionate about being a key member of a high performing team that has a strong focus on client experience
• A desire to support the ongoing expansion of the business through marketing and business development
