Senior Associate - Corporate Finance

Our Business Bank (BB) serves over 10,000 clients in the medium to large business segment across Australia, with complex financial needs and turnover between $10m to $500m offers a wide range of services and solutions to our small to medium, enterprise customers and our regional and agribusiness customers.

To support growth, we're seeking a talented individual for a newly created Senior Associate position. The Corporate Finance team leads complex event-driven and transformational opportunities for mid-market customers in diversified industries with both private and public companies. Corporate Finance deals usually involve lending requirements of $50m to $500m and the team supports & partners with a diverse range of businesses across Australia.

Do work that matters

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Finance you will support the team in analysing, structuring, and executing complex financing opportunities as well as assisting with the ongoing development and implementation of strategic initiatives to drive market engagement.

More specifically you will

  • Focus on structuring, analysing, preparing credit submissions and modelling complex financing opportunities as part of a dedicated front office origination team
  • Apply project management skills to support the delivery and execution of transactions within specified time frames
  • Actively be involved in pitching, research, & client presentations
  • Attend to internal procedures & compliance requirements relevant to the role including to develop proficiency with CBA's various internal systems
  • Have a strong understanding of risk considerations on transactions
  • Consistently deliver first class financial modelling and credit analysis

We want to hear from you if you have
  • Extensive experience in a Corporate Finance, Banking or financial analysis role in a front office origination context
  • Analytically minded, with very strong financial/credit analysis & financial modelling skills
  • Risk Mindset - All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
