Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Auditor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and conducting audits of financial statements, internal controls, and operational processes. The Senior Auditor will work closely with management to identify areas of risk and develop strategies to mitigate those risks. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute audits of financial statements, internal controls, and operational processes
- Identify areas of risk and develop strategies to mitigate those risks
- Communicate audit findings to management and make recommendations for improvement
- Supervise and mentor junior auditors
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to senior management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA or CA qualified
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting principles and auditing standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and audit software
To be in the running you will need to have worked in a public practice audit role for five or more years, a tertiary qualification and have completed your CA or CPA. You will also need to be an Australian resident or citizen.
Salary package is $80k to $90k inclusive of super.
