Seeking an experienced Senior Automation Specialist to join an established Federal Government team.

Your new role
As the Senior Automation Specialist, you will be joining an established Infrastructure Platforms team who are responsible for the management of all data centres, virtualisation, automation, storage, backup and restore capability for the Department. This team is also responsible for providing after hours on-call support for the department's infrastructure. You will also be responsible for managing and improving the Department's Aria Automation, Operations, NSX, vSphere environment and physical compute as needed. The role requires producing design documents, build documents, operations document, handover sharing of knowledge with other team members and mentoring other team members.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated experience and ability in:
- Demonstrated experience in few of the following technologies: Aria Automation 8.x Aria Orchestrator VMware NSX for vSphere VMware NSX-T VMware vSphere Aria Operations.
- Demonstrated scripting and coding experience in few of the following: YAML JavaScript PowerShell PowerCLI.
- Experience / Knowledge of Kubernetes and Containerization.
- Ability to produce design, build and operations documentation for processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills to collaborate with skilled technical people, including making presentations to staff and stakeholders and coaching staff.
