About the role
Are you ready for an exciting new full-time opportunity in the Positive Behaviour Support industry? CPBS is seeking experienced Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our forward-thinking and dedicated Melbourne team based in Bundoora. This is your chance to further develop your professional, clinical and leadership skills. The work is based on the principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, and school/workplace settings.
Reporting to the Regional Clinical Manager, the Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner will supervise a small team of Behaviour Support Practitioners and Behaviour Therapists. You’ll also conduct assessments, write behavioural support plans and programs, and assist with the implementation of plans. You will still manage a small caseload of your own participants, allowing both your clinical and leadership capabilities to flourish.
Responsibilities
- Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
- Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions after assessment and diagnosis
- Provide training, support and clinical supervision of Behaviour Support Practitioners/Behaviour Therapists
- Use behavioural, psychological and evidence-based theories to develop and implement program designs and interventions
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders
- Adhere to NDIS quality and safeguard commission requirements
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of three years’ experience as a practitioner of positive Behaviour Support services
- Master's level post graduate qualifications in Positive Behaviour Support, Applied Behaviour Analysis or any other Master's or PhD in a similar field
- Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision to Behaviour Support Practitioners.
- Demonstrated and effective time management skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities set in a fast-paced environment
- High level of oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports
- Mandatory compliance checks including the NDIS Workers Screening Check, National Criminal History Check and any relevant State-issued WWCC/WWVP cards
- Willingness to complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-Element Positive Behaviour Support
- A valid Driver’s License, current motor vehicle insurance and access to a roadworthy vehicle suitable for work-related purposes.
