DPC is seeking a motivated Senior Behavioural Insights Specialist who is excited by the prospect of using behavioural science to improve public sector outcomes. The role is responsible for the delivery of Behavioural Insights projects and policy advice to support the strategic priorities of government.
The Delivery and Strategy Branch tracks and supports delivery of priority government initiatives, and works with policy branches to support strategic policy development of cross-portfolio issues.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will bring:
- Strong technical experience improving outcomes by applying Behavioural Insights to public policy and service challenges and/or knowledge and expertise in behavioural sciences
- Highly developed influence and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to use direct and indirect influencing strategies to gain agreement to proposals and ideas and explore alternatives without foregoing key objectives
- Advanced conceptual and problem solving skills
- Ability to results to deliver a high standard through setting clearly defined objectives and prioritising competing work priorities
- Excellent writing skills and an ability to convey and translate complex technical information in a clear and pursuasive manner to inform policy decisions
Please note that a qualification in Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Economics or Public Policy or law would be highly regarded.
