About our role

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Insight Specialist to facilitate the generation of actionable insights across the Simplot APAC Foodservice Business and support the teams to leverage the use of this data in delivering Brand & Category strategies for growth.

Reporting into the Head of Insights APAC, your expertise in the voice of the Foodservice operator & consumer will see you play a key role in ensuring the 3 year commercial plan & innovation pipeline is insight-led & robust.

What you will do

Working closely with the global Insights network, Foodservice Sales team & Front End Innovation teams, you will generate region-specific foodservice insights to support our strategic planning, customer relationships and innovation priorities.

Furthermore, you will:

  • Deliver robust brand health tracking, concept testing & bespoke research studies with actionable recommendations for growth, that are taken forward into our commercial plans

  • Analyse data from consumer trends & market data providers to support Marketing & Sales teams in strategic planning & customer engagements

  • Manage external research projects for the Foodservice channel & Asia markets, from brief to completion, to ensure all objectives are met within time and budget

  • Support with the voice of the consumer (VoC) and end user in the development of brand positioning, communication and concept development

  • Leverage existing reporting formats from our HO in the U.S, to standardise reporting across all regions and ensure leverage of shared global data suppliers

  • Support the development and delivery of the annual Macro Trend Opportunity program and its connection to the Always on Ideation program for innovation.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in bringing the VoC to life through data driven story-telling, translating research and analysis into impactful information for colleagues, end users and decision makers

  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to manage projects with cross-functional internal stakeholders & agency partners

  • Established relationships with research agencies in the APAC region with evidence of maximising ROI of projects

  • Critical thinking skills that have enabled your ability to make sound judgement calls, problem solve in periods of ambiguity and synthesise across data sources to generate meaningful insights

  • Prior experience working with Asia markets, food manufacturers or foodservice highly valued

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
