DutiesTo provide advice to Government on the development, monitoring and management of the State Budget; administering the Budget Information Management System, analyse BIMS data, and support staff in the use of the system; budgetary, financial and reporting issues and reforms as they arise.
In the context of the selection criteria, to be successful in the position applicants will have:
- a strong capacity to analyse and interpret financial and non-financial information;
- an ability to understand complex issues (including whole-of-government and policy issues) and identify possible solutions;
- well developed Budget and financial system skills, including Microsoft Excel (or the capacity to quickly develop such skills) and System administration; and
- good verbal and written communications skills.

Desirable RequirementsCompletion or partial completion of relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional affiliation.
