Our client is modernising their finance platforms which includes the consolidation of core finance systems, point of sale solution and payment gateways.
We’re looking for professionals who have extensive experience working as Business Analysts for large finance, payments or billing related projects particularly in the financial services industry. These roles will include, but not be limited to:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership to identify and document business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Developing and maintaining business process models in line with our client’s process architecture, standards, and tools.
- Conducting comprehensive analysis of existing business processes, systems, and data to identify and document changes within complex projects.
- Developing and maintaining documentation that is clear, concise, and traceable.
- Facilitating workshops, interviews and discussions with divisions and departments to gather, prioritise and validate business needs, translating them into actionable requirements and solutions.
- Participating in the design and review of proposed solutions, working closely with Technology delivery teams to ensure there is alignment with business requirements and technical feasibility.
- Performing other commercial analysis activities as required to help refine expected benefits, outcomes, and recommendations.
- Supporting the Project Manager in managing change requests and scope changes, evaluating their impact on project timelines, budgets, benefits, and outcomes.
- Supporting the Project Manager in tracking project progress, monitoring project risks and addressing issues to contribute to successful project delivery on time and within scope.
- Mentoring and providing guidance to other Business Analysts via a Community of Practice, fostering continued growth and development of business analysis capability.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to business analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation.
- Being the conduit as a product owner for delivery teams representing the business owner and aligning multiple cross-functional stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
- 7-10 years’ experience as a Business Analyst supporting business transformation, digital and/or system implementation projects.
- Significant and demonstrated experience in BPMN and requirements documentation (epics, user stories and acceptance criteria).
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software for business analysis (e.g. Visio, Lucidchart, Jira, Confluence).
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, make critical decisions under pressure, and lead teams through ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high quality outcomes on time and within budget.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesise and present complex information into formats that resonate with the target audience.
- Prior experience in financial services, insurance or another regulated industry is desirable.
