The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Business Information Systems team.
In this role you will liaise and work with business users to define and re-design business processes. You will work with the business and technology/development teams to recommend work solutions to meet business requirements, including working with stakeholders to provide business intelligence and data analytics requirements and reports. It is imperative to have a good understanding of business systems methodologies, technologies and tools as you will be required to translate user needs into specifications for use of the technical teams to develop, test and deliver new business systems or enhance existing.

There is currently one (1) permanent position available for immediate filling.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months from date of first appointment across the Department of Transport.

- (SC1) Substantial experience in business analysis and design of large-scale applications within an applications development and support environment within a large complex organisation.
- (SC3) Considerable knowledge and understanding of business analysis techniques.
- (SC5) Experience in the development of high-quality user technical documentation.
- The CV must contain the complete names and contact information of two (2) referees who can provide feedback on the applicant's capacity to meet all the Essential Work-Related Requirements. At least one of the referees should be the applicant's immediate (most recent) supervisor/manager unless there are exceptional circumstances.
