The Company:With 40 years within the Perth market, our client is a well known Tax & Advisory firm who service an established client base of Companies, HNWI, SMSF, Sole Traders, Partnerships and Trusts.
The Role:
As the Senior Accountant you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of Accountants both on and off-shore whilst managing a tax and compliance portfolio at a senior level. With your wealth of knowledge of Australia tax legislation, you will provide complex tax advice to your client portfolio. Your core duties will include;
- Preparing income tax returns and financial statements for clients ranging from start-up businesses through to large multi-structure groups
- Assisting in managing a portfolio of clients
- Assisting with management of workflow for the team including developing and supporting junior team members and reviewing their work
- Business advisory work; financial modelling, complex tax advice, succession planning, asset sales and acquisitions
- Attending to other business-related matters for clients including preparation of BAS, IAS, fringe benefits tax, tax planning, payroll assistance and any other tax or Business Services related matters
- Advising clients on business operations, regulatory matters, restructures and accounting system implementation
- Developing strong relationships with clients
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or Business
- CPA or CA qualified (ideal)
- Experience with taxation structures, Division 7a, CGT, small business concessions & superannuation
- Previous experience working within a public practice
- Advanced Xero, MYOB and Excel skills
