- Salary: $84,522 to $94,003 - ASO5 - Full Time / Ongoing appointment
The Senior Buyer position leads a team within the Purchasing Team that is responsible for undertaking transactional and tactical buying activities for SA Health to ensure goods, services and minor works are procured in the most efficient and effective manner and ensuring value for money is realised across SA Health through the procurement process and the Oracle catalogue information is maintained in accordance with all guidelines and policies.
The key outcomes for this role are:
- Services provided by the team such as purchase order creation and the facilitation of quotations are undertaken in a timely manner and in line with Government requirements;
- Goods, services and minor works are procured in a transparent manner and procurement activities comply with SA Public Sector policy requirements;
- Supplier/provider relationships are managed to enhance service delivery outcomes;
- Ensuring the Team maintains Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) with relevant accurate data using the Catalogue Management System;
- Pricing offered on the BPA's is accepted based on the result of negotiated outcomes
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
