We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cargo Operations Officer to work solely for our client airlines, Thai Airways. We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented individual who is not afraid to manage a small team.
We are currently seeking Flight Clerks for our dynamic and fast paced Cargo Operation located at Perth International Airport.
Responsibilities and main duties include but are not limited to;
- Coordinating and operating among and Ground Handling Agents whilst maintaining a good working relationship.
- Provide Thai Airways cargo office both operational and in-house sales support.
- Liaise with cargo agents and shippers to ensure shipments conform to formalities as required.
- Responsible for all cargo reservations and tracing.
- Communicate and control the loading and unloading requirements of Thai Airways through our Ground Handling Agents.
- Liaise with mail authorities to ensure mail load uplifted without irregularity.
- Communicate with Thai Airways Head Office Bookings Team, regarding space availability matters relevant to shipments from/to/through Perth Station.
- Liaise with airport office regarding all relevant information pertaining to cargo requirements on Thai Airways flights.
- Take a proactive role in communicating with PERFO on matters concerning smooth running of operations as well as unit load stock control to Head Office every week.
- Communicate with Perth Freight Forwarders for customer and market needs.
- Ensure all Thai Airways manuals including the Local Transport Security Program are updated and adhered too.
- Purchase company supplies as directed by Head Office for our stores, reconcile invoice against purchase orders and verify for settlement.
- Compliment market sales efforts by telephone sales and email advice to agents.
- Assist in the compiling and issuance of SSA’s to the PER cargo Market.
- Respond to requests and made by Thai Airways Cargo Head Office and any other duties as requested.
To be successful in this role, you must have the following skills and capabilities:
- Experience relating to import and export flight operations.
- Have sound knowledge of related flight operations/ administrative functions and SITA text messaging etc.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask
- Strong computer and numerical data skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team or autonomously
