Our South West Sport Centre is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sport and Recreation Operations Officer to oversee and enhance the operations of the dry-based facilities at the South West Sports Centre. This pivotal role focuses on the leadership and management of venue officers, cleaning services, sports programs, and user groups, ensuring optimal facility utilisation and high-quality service delivery.
This role is being offered on a 12-month contract but still provides an opportunity for you to carve out a career path that plays to your talents, and we'll provide the platform for you to shine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Direct and oversee the daily operations of the dry side facilities, ensuring all activities are executed efficiently and effectively
- Staff Leadership: Provide strong leadership, direction, and support to the operations team, including venue officers and cleaning staff, to achieve high performance and employee satisfaction
- Event Coordination: Support the planning and management of events hosted at the centre, ensuring they run smoothly and meet both client and organisational expectations.
What do you need?
- Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate programs associated with Sport and Recreation / Community Based Programs
- Previous experience in the supervision and management of staff
- Excellent time management skills
- High quality verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
- Sound budgetary preparation and financial management skills.
