Community Corrections is responsible for supervising adult offenders in the community. Community Corrections staff aim to protect the community and reduce re-offending by supervising offenders in the community in which they live and encourage offenders to adopt more pro-social attitudes and behaviours.
The Senior Case Manager (Rural and Remote High-Risk Team) is based in a district office/reporting centre and reports to the District Manager. The position ensures a high level of community safety through the case management of adults subject to orders within the community.
The position acts in accordance with assessed risk and need and maintains high standards of assessment practices that facilitate effective supervision, and improved reintegration and rehabilitation of individuals subject to community-based orders.
The position will also support the management team in the region by acting as coach and mentor to team members undertaking probation and parole case management.
The position has a key role in implementing the Government's Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Strategy and progressing the recommendations in the Not Now, Not Ever report of the Special Taskforce on Domestic and Family Violence. The role is responsible for representing Queensland Corrective Services on the Moreton Bay High Risk Team.
The position works collaboratively with government and non-government organisations within the region to coordinate rapid, outcome focussed and multi-agency responses to high risk clients.

Qualifications, professional registration, conditions and other requirements:
- While there are no mandatory qualifications for the role, demonstrated skills and experience in a case management role and knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the Probation and Parole Case Management Framework is highly desirable.
- The incumbent may be required to work outside of normal work hours and to travel throughout the region. Public transport is not available therefore possession of a valid C class licence is required.
