We now welcome the opportunity for a culinary professional to join us as SNR CDP / JNR SOUS, to work with the team, focusing not just on kitchen operations but to work closely with the Pastry team.

The Role
Stokehouse restaurant continues to serve the best Melbourne has to offer. As a senior pastry chef you will have the opportunity to work under, and be guided by group Pastry Chef Ash Smith. This is an opportunity to be mentored by Ash and grow with the group.
This role you will:
- Work with the team to develop and drive the pastry offer at Stokehouse Restaurant
- Manage day to day kitchen operations with passion and enthusiasm
- Help to mentor and develop our team of culinary enthusiasts
- Work with the leadership team to manage wages, cog’s and operational expenses
- Continue to drive the culture that has set our restaurant group to be an ‘employer of choice’
The Expectation
You will be an upbeat individual who is self-driven and passionate, and possess strong organisational skills. You will also bring to the role;
- CDP experience in a similar fast-paced and high-volume environment, ideally including substantial pastry work
- Creativity in all its forms. From ideas for new dishes, to a curiosity in cooking techniques.
- A hands-on and operational approach to running the pastry sections in both kitchens
- A solid COG’s management understanding, or the ability and drive to further educate yourself in kitchen financials
- A natural and enthusiastic leadership style, a great sense of humour and a passionate approach to dining excellence
