The Senior Child Protection Practitioner (Supervisory) isresponsible for supporting and developing Child Protection Practitioners in theintegration of theory and practice whilst demonstrating their expertise throughcase practice and the supervision of Child Protection Practitioners.
The SeniorChild Protection Practitioner (supervisory) will work collaboratively with theTeam Manager to strengthen case practice, provide effective service deliveryand to support other practitioners in the development of plans to bring aboutthe changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development ofchildren and young people and to promote the achievement of case planobjectives within specified timeframes.
The position will have supervisoryresponsibility, commensurate with their other duties.
The Rural After Hours Service (RAHS) operates an on-call, re-callmodel and practitioners participate on a roster and conduct emergency outreachvisits as required at night, on weekends and public holidays. In addition toconducting outreach visits, RAHS practitioners will work a core number of daysin the Child Protection office and undertake a variety of tasks that supportChild Protection operations in the Area/Division.
