About Your Opportunity
As the Senior Civil and Pipeline Engineer you will provide Civil and Pipeline related engineering information, advice and direction. You will work with stakeholders with responsibilities across the lifecycle of our assets, both internal and external, and contribute to the development and improvement of standards and management processes to ensure the best possible outcome for the organisation.
This role is responsible for:
- Developing Seqwater’s Civil and Pipeline Engineering related standards and technical specifications and ensure they remain current, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Reviewing and verify Civil and Pipeline Engineering related works including works performed by Third Parties working on or near Seqwater Assets.
- Providing expert Civil and Pipeline Engineering support and advice, primarily to the Operations group.
- Working in partnership with Seqwater personnel and other stakeholders to ensure effective operation of Seqwater’s water assets.
- Maintaining a stable and standardised engineering environment whilst incorporating appropriate best practice and system improvements.
- Providing expert engineering advice relating to the engineering and construction of bulk water assets to external parties to ensure that all works that are constructed are robust, compliant with relevant standards and “fit for purpose
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years experience.
- Current active RPEQ registration in a discipline relevant to the position or ability to obtain registration within 6 months).
- Class C drivers licence.
- Detailed knowledge of civil engineering as it relates to large scale pumping and piped systems and civil engineering works.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Quality Assurance systems and processes.
- Extensive experience in the design and construction of water infrastructure, including civil structures and large diameter pipe networks with particular emphasis on constructability and future operations and maintenance.
This position has a salary starting at $117,448 – $128,664 dependant on experience plus 12.75% superannuation
