About the Role
Focusing on Civil Engineering projects, the position will be responsible for the delivery of detailed tender cost estimates and tender submissions. You will work both individually and as part of a team, leading the tender process from inception to submission to handover to our onsite project teams.
Duties
- Prepare and develop accurate cost estimates from first principals.
- Review and complete appropriate tender questionnaires.
- Detailed and accurate quantity take-offs.
- Develop construction methodologies, programs and submission documentation.
- Provide ideas & strategies to improve estimating policies & systems
- Maintaining good communications and working relations with current customer base whilst fostering new business relationships
- Support project teams through project negotiation, commencement and financial administration of contracts.
- Providing data and advice to internal & external stakeholders
Skills & Experience
- You offer a minimum 3 years of experience in Civil Construction estimating.
- You have achieved appropriate tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Sound knowledge of TMR specifications and tenders, Material testing and Contracts AS2124
- Exceptional written & oral communication skills which extends to a great ability for negotiation.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tenders and deadlines.
- Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
- Proficient in database & document management
