With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hour's drive from the CBD, Melbourne's North is fast becoming the place to be!The Opportunity:Senior Clinician - Alcohol and other Drugs, Mental Health - Northern Mental Health Division.An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join the Addiction Psychiatry and Toxicology (APT) service at Northern Hospital Epping. You will be involved in developing and implementing the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) integrated care across all Mental Health Division programmes.This position is ongoing part-time, working Thursdays and Fridays (32 hours per fortnight) as a job share role within the Addiction Psychiatry and Toxicology Service. This position will be based across Northern Mental Health Division Programmes, as such, travel to the workplace destination is included within the working hours as/where required.The role:This role requires extensive experience in providing AOD assessment, diagnosis and treatment interventions, highly developed clinical expertise and the capacity to supervise others effectively.The Senior Clinician - Alcohol and Other Drugs provides leadership in establishing a clear and accessible system of care that offers evidence-based AOD integrated treatment for consumers experiencing co-occurring Mental Health and substance use disorders.To be successful in this role you will have:
- Substantial experience and good working knowledge of Alcohol and other Drugs and Mental Health treatment interventions.
- Demonstrated skills in the principles and practice of working with people with Mental Health and co-occurring substance use /addiction problems.
- Substantial post qualification experience (5-7 years) across a range of clinical Mental Health and or AOD clinical programs.
- Act as a role model, provide effective leadership, communication and collaboration.
- Demonstrated capacity for initiative and an ability to work appropriately with limited direction.
- A current Victorian Drivers licence.
