Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

The primary role of the Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is to develop & support infrastructure solutions. This includes supporting high volume trade systems, SAAS applications & corporate environments working with systems admins, developers & Project Managers.
A leadership position within the Engineering team, you'll contribute to the tech roadmap, provide direction & support to junior engineers & contribute to the improvement of solution delivery.

You will join a collaborative thinking team where a customer-oriented mind-set means that there is strong problem solving & root cause analysis. You will be passionate to deliver sustainable IT solutions through engineering thinking & through innovative technologies.
The job is to provide Infrastructure Support & projects with a strong skill set in Cloud (AWS Azure or GCP), Strong Windows, A security Mind-set and passion for learning IAC (if you dont already have these skills!) Those who have worked for either an ecommerce, software company, Financial Services or an IT Consultancy / MSP would be highly regarded.
The job:-
Takes a leadership role, ownership of systems, ownership of technical designs and solutions, and mentoring of Juniors in the team & systems administrators.
Experience required:

• To have worked in a Platform / Ecommerce environment
• Strong Cloud (Ideally AWS or GCP), although if you have Azure, full training is provided.
• Strong Windows & Microsoft O365
• Experience with large-scale deployment/integrations of Microsoft technologies from Exchange, Office365 both Cloud (Azure or GCP) and on premise.
• Security Mind-set (DMZ exposure ideal)
• Scripting skills

• IAC - full training provided
• Virtualisation (VMware preferred including deployments).
• SQL - advantageous
• IIS - advantageous
• Networking - advantageous
