Visit usAbout Your RoleClinical Nurse SpecialistGrade 2 (CNS2) are crucial members of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District Nursing and Midwifery Workforce. The CNS2 is responsible for the provision of high level patient centred, evidence-based clinical nursing care and is expected to embrace and lead a practice development philosophy in the delivery of that care.The CNS2 encompasses the core criteria of the CNS1 with additional characteristics of; exercises extended autonomy of decision making and exercises professional knowledge and judgement in providing complex care requiring advanced clinical skills. This outcome is achieved through undertaking comprehensive nursing/midwifery assessments, providing expert consultation and educational support to staff, patients and family in the designated area of clinical practice.
