AddressDue to continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for Senior CMT Lab Technicians to join our teams in Bendigo, Echuca and Kilmore.
Reporting to the CMT Lead Supervisor, the Senior Lab Technician will ensure the efficient and effective collection and preparation of soil/concrete and aggregate samples for the laboratory analysis using standard techniques. A range of tests may take place on these samples that were obtained from the job sites.
Geotechnical Testing Services (GTS) provides expert geotechnical and environmental consulting services throughout country Victoria. Integrated with our consulting services, we also provide soil and construction materials testing services, environmental services and geotechnical drilling operations.
The Role
- Collect and prepare soil / concrete and aggregate samples for laboratory analysis using standard techniques relevant to ISO/IEC 17025
- Produce clear and concise field and laboratory records and reports
- Assist in the delivery of projects and ensure output is of a high standard and within turnaround time and budget allocations
- Work within GTSs Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Provide mentoring and technical support to Trainees and Technicians
- Ensure correct equipment is available, in good condition as required and in compliance with applicable regulations and laws
About you
- Has a solid understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
- Demonstrate active leadership on improving safety performance by upholding the importance of Zero Harm for both personnel and equipment
- Signatory for NATA Endorsed Reports
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Key Qualifications and Training
- Cert IV in Lab Techniques
- License to operate Nuclear Density Gauge
- Current Valid Victorian driver’s license
- White Card
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Laboratory Management and Construction Materials Testing
