Job Title: Senior CNC Programmer Operator – Timber Operation
Team: Timber Office / Factory

Reports To: Site Manager
Purpose of the role:
The role of the senior CNC technician is to develop and maintain our V6 database, processing jobs ready for the workshop and purchasing, Development of CNC programs as well as operation of CNC 5 axis machine.
The recruit will have in-depth knowledge of CNC programing machine operation of solid timber windows and door manufacturing in an office / factory environment.
Tasks to be completed include but are not limited to:
- Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Continued design and usage of technical systems to enhance our business – Specifically V6 Timber Database, HOPs.
- Regular Timber V6 database development and maintenance – this may include but not limited to updating/ uploading new data where required such as new glass types, different hardware options etc.
- Help lead the continuous improvement of current business practices. Work with the team to enhance existing practices to reduce the potential for errors.
- Provide Technical guidance and support to the team in office and workshop.
- Generation of error free fabrication reports, delivery dockets and glass cutting sheets.
- Train staff in use of CNC, estimating, Timber V6. Our Team needs to be confident and able to execute the above tasks at a high level.
- Building and developing CNC programs for jobs as required such as curves, lock bodies, special detailing, mouldings etc.
Experiences Required:
- Advanced level CNC programming, Solid timber machining operations.
- Experience with V6 software.
- General experience within the building industry.
- Solid Timber and Aluminum Production experience.
- Team leadership and people management.
- Direct customer interaction.
- Aptitude to identify and implement new business initiatives.
- Diligent, eye for detail.
Preferred Education Standard:
- Relevant trade qualification and higher-level learning in the above field or similar working environment.
- Relative university degree qualification
