Senior Collections Associate

Our client is a boutique collections agency based in the South East suburbs of Melbourne. Due to significant growth in clients, they are looking to recruit an experienced professional to join their team.

The role is based in the south-eastern suburbs and a car is required (parking available).

Responsible for your own accounts, day to day duties will include:

• Contact debtors via phone calls, emails, letters, or other communication channels to discuss overdue accounts and negotiate repayment plans.
• Conduct thorough investigations into the status of outstanding debts, including reviewing account records, payment history, and any relevant documentation.
• Work with debtors to establish feasible repayment arrangements based on their financial situation, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
• Offer assistance and guidance to debtors who may be experiencing financial difficulties, providing information on available payment options and resources.
• Address any disputes or discrepancies regarding debts promptly and professionally, working to find satisfactory resolutions for both the debtor and the creditor.
• Update debtor account information and payment statuses 
• Communicate effectively with clients and legal representatives, to provide updates on debt collection efforts, discuss strategies for recovering outstanding debts, and address any concerns or inquiries they may have.
