The role
The Senior Collections Specialist will be responsible for maintaining relationships, troubleshooting problems, handling reminder calls and managing customer account balances whilst ensuring all processes are up to date and followed by the team.
The role is responsible for the end-to-end collections process for IPF Digital Australia. This includes assisting the function to meet and exceed KPI’s in place for collections in Australia and identifying areas for improvement.
This role is achieved by providing exceptional customer service via inbound/outbound calls and correspondence/emails to ensure the health of each loan account.
Responsibilities
Here’s an example of your day to day:
- Implement daily collections strategies, monitor performance and pivot as necessary
- Manage reminder calls and provide customer service regarding repayment issues, process and review account adjustments, resolve account discrepancies and short payments
- Ensure collections tasks and duties are allocated efficiently to meet monthly regularization/efficiency targets
- Train and mentor team members in the collections department
- Other duties as directed within the skills and abilities of a position at this level, as directed by the Collections Team Leader
Requirements
Here’s what experience we need from you:
- 2+ years experience in a Collections role
- High attention to detail
- Committed to great customer experience
- Ability to work autonomously and also as part of a team
- Proactive self-motivator with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Great problem solving
- Knowledge of phone systems
- Enjoy building positive stakeholder relationships
- Prior knowledge of working with Salesforce (desirable)
