What's the role?
The Senior Commercial Finance Analyst will provide commercial support to the client product business unit by supporting them navigate market and financial information in order to create commercial value.
Role Responsibilities:
- Combine, and transform financial and non-financial information into insights.
- Understand the drivers that impact the business and use these insights to support effective decisions.
- Develop a deep understanding of business issues and work in partnership to create solutions for profitable growth and sustainability of costs.
- Month end P&L reviews and reviewing and business partnering with senior leaders on weekly revenue results.
- Support the Commercial Manager to drive a high-performing team including the delivery of improvements and facilitation of development planning, induction, continuous finance education and information sharing.
- Scenario analysis and providing insights on future opportunities.
- Working on cost initiatives with business partners and reviewing P&L impacts.
- Monitor and understand the commercial operations and financial results of your business unit or department.
- Identifying key issues and challenges, and help optimise financial outcomes.
- Support the delivery of budgets and forecasts for your allocated business unit or department.
- Support the delivery of weekly and monthly financial results and provide guidance and evidence where necessary.
- Provide commentary on business unit or department results for reporting purposes.
- Provide insight and analytics on forward looking metrics to help the business make strategic decisions.
- Provide input into pricing, yield and discounting (where relevant).
- Input and rigour into investment decisions, whether it be opex or capex.
- Support the Commercial/General Manager for your allocated business unit or department, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Who are you?
- CA/CPA qualified
- 5+ years experience in a similar role
- Strong commercial acumen & professional accounting competency
- Excellent financial acumen, with experience in cost management, and partnering & influencing
- Strong analytical, communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinker and self-starter with a commercial approach to business
- Resilient with an ability to manage competing deadlines
