The role
This is your opportunity to lead a small team and implement our Risk Management framework. You will also provide subject matter expertise in identifying, assessing, mitigating, and reporting on a broad range of risks across the business.
You will be responsible for:
- Implementing the Risk Management program, including regulatory change, across all areas of the business with a strong focus on Superannuation and AFSL obligations.
- Review, interpret and implement regulatory change relevant to the organisation’s superannuation business. Advise and provide support to the business on changes to Superannuation regulations.
- Ensuring compliance with all Superannuation and AFS licenses and regulatory requirements.
- Review and draft compliance policies, ensuring continuous enhancement to the compliance policy framework, especially in relation to superannuation, AFSL obligations and financial services laws.
- Collection, analysis, escalation and reporting of compliance exceptions & breaches.
- Partnering with the various business units to ensure staff understand and are trained on their compliance obligations and the regulatory environment.
To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:
- Undergraduate degree in Business/Commerce, Law or relevant subjects
- Line 2 Risk Management experience in complex financial services organisations
- Detailed understanding of superannuation and financial services laws and landscape in Australia.
- Proactive with the ability to drive change through regulatory compliance engagement with the business, systems, processes, and people.
- Collaborative and able to work effectively with clients, internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
- Ability to write well and have a high attention to detail.
- Experience in working in complex businesses undergoing significant transformation and remediation.
