Senior Conciliation Officer


About the Position

This position is part of the leadership team of Conciliation and Arbitration Services Division. It leads a team of Conciliation Officers and is responsible for ensuring the resolution of disputes by agreement between parties to a workers’ compensation claim.

The position undertakes a broad scope of duties, including:

  • Ensuring Conciliation Officers conform with legislative requirements, best practice and deliver a high level of service to stakeholders.
  • Engaging in effective consultation with stakeholders regarding the services provided by Conciliation Officers.
  • Undertaking the statutory responsibilities of a Conciliation Officer.

Selection Methodology

A variety of assessment methodologies may be used throughout the recruitment process, including:

  • Skills assessment
  • Aptitude testing
  • Referee checks.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a National Police Clearance.
