About the Role

Senior Consultants are delivery focused technology specialists, who are viewed as trusted advisors by clients. This person is responsible for working directly with customers to deliver and execute Xcellerate IT’s current and future services offerings. The Senior Consultant will also be responsible for the development of Intellectual Property (IP), customised solutions in the automation space and participating in presales activities as the subject matter expert.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as leader for the differentiation of Xcellerate IT's technical capability
• Display strong situational analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills
• Commercial focus working with the professional services team to meet the financial and utilisation targets
• Provide consulting services including discovery, design, build, deployment, test, documentation, and transition
• Work within political, commercial and technical restraints, to provide the most appropriate solution for the client
• Collaborate with project manager(s) in project planning
• Effectively and consistently report status of projects back to project managers
• Assist with project closure by developing project artefacts, participating in project lessons learned
• Maintain professional demeanour and appearance at all times
• Demonstrate effective time management and prioritization skills
• Take responsibility as the technical representative of Xcellerate IT to develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities
• Focus on maintaining 80% chargeability through billing for solution design and transition to delivery
• Develop profile as a technical leader in an Insight specialist solution area

Skills and Experience

• Substantial experience in technical roles within a consulting/services environment
• Ability to map client's business needs to Xcellerate IT's technology solution offerings
• Ability to write quality high level and detailed architectural diagrams, functional and technical documentation that communicates the customer’s vision
• Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills combined with sound judgement
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships
• Execute end to end projects, from the initial gathering phase, design, implementation, training, hand over and post deployment support
• Comfortable with presenting and communicating technical solutions
• A team player willing to develop and share the knowledge
• Tertiary Education qualifications preferred
• Experience in capture, transformation and workflow technologies
• Integration experience with backend finance systems 
• Must be able to travel interstate from time to time
• Prepared to work from our well-located North Sydney office
• Domain knowledge in financial business processes and related ERPs
