Who is M2P Engineering?

M2P Engineering are a market leading construction, engineering and fabrication service provider specialising in heavy industrial Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) projects across Australia.

A few quick notes about what we do:

• To date, our key achievements include major SMP construction projects at remote mine sites, both surface and underground, and industrial facilities in our key operating centres.
• Scopes we have successfully completed include crushing and conveying systems, mineral processing facilities, ventilation, refrigeration, and associated infrastructure.
• We have recently expanded our service offering to include Energy, Oil and Gas projects.
• M2P have several strategically placed workshops across the country where we fabricate heavy industrial pipework, platework and structural steel.
• We also design & manufacture our own patented specialised inflatable products, which are used in several innovative industrial safety, ventilation & production applications.

We've built all of this with determination, plenty of hard work and a little bit of luck, in the short space of time, since M2P was established in 2017 by our MD, Adam (although, there is still much more ahead of us that we'd like you to be a part of).

Want to know more about what could be your new role?

Due to continued growth and project successes, along with a robust pipeline of opportunities, M2P Engineering is looking for an experienced Commercial Lead to join our team in Teneriffe, Brisbane.

The Office: This role will be based in our head office in beautiful Teneriffe, with some site travel as required.

The Team: Reporting to the Group Manager – Commercial, you will play a key role in the end-to-end contract management lifecycle including involvement in tendering and procurement.

Some of the things you can expect to be involved in when you join the team include:

• Support the tendering process from initiation to submission.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure alignment and compliance with tender requirements.
• Assist in the execution of contract management process from initial drafting and negotiation to final closeout.
• Prepare and maintain contract variations, change orders and other necessary contract-related documentation as required.
• Monitor contract performance and proactively address issues that may arise during contract lifecycle.
• Manage and process progress claims, ensuring alignment of completed work with contract terms and milestones.
• Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including project teams, clients and vendors.
• Utilise commercial contract Software to analyse contracts, bids and procurement data.
• Develop and execute commercial documentation and processes to support the business goals.

There are some important skills and experience we believe will support you in succeeding in this role, such as:

• Comprehensive understanding of contract terms and conditions terminology and commercial principles.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting the tender process.
• Demonstrated experience in managing claim processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple contracts simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using commercial contract management software (e.g., SAP, Ariba, IFS, Workbench) and MS Office Suite.
• Experience in mining, oil and gas, manufacturing or construction sector would be an advantage.
• Tertiary Qualification in business administration, project management, finance, engineering or a related field, is desirable.
