Our Engineering Construction division provides large-scale multidisciplinary project management and construction services. Our delivery of high-quality work within mining / minerals processing, oil and gas has earnt us a solid reputation and enviable relationships with some of the industry's leading operators.

Due to a newly awarded high-profile Oil and Gas project we are seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to join our high performing project team.

As a crucial team member, you'll start by spearheading the project's setup. Soon after, you'll step into a dynamic on-site role, working on a 2:1 FIFO roster (excluding major cities). This setup guarantees a harmonized work-life equilibrium while playing a vital role in driving the project to success

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and negotiating subcontracts, administration, variation and claims including upstream recovery, through to closeout
  • Participating in the review and assisting with the administration, negotiation and execution of variations and claims to client contracts and subcontracts
  • Contract administration to support execution, including correspondence and contract notices and claims assessment
  • Identify and maximise cost and schedule saving opportunities
  • High level written skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Involved in the process of identifying and raising potential risks or issues
  • Providing a level of guidance and advice, to relevant stakeholders internal and external
  • Interpreting contractual documentation and making recommendations for action
  • Manage and build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

What you will bring:

  • Site Construction / Engineering experience, with a desire to move into a more commercial role will be considered
  • At least 3-5 years of Contracts experience
  • Experience in Electrical and Instrumentation (desirable)
  • Degree in Business, Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying would be highly advantageous but not essential
  • Demonstrate an understanding of current contract law, relevant legislation and its application to the mining and oil and gas industries
  • Demonstrable knowledge in subcontracts and high value client contracts
  • Sound proficiency in the use of MS Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in a similar work environment and the ability to work autonomously as well as a pro-active team member in a cooperative environment
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills for a diverse and challenging workload
  • An ability to engage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers
