Within Western Australia our Mining & Resources Division delivers engineering and construction projects for our key Tier 1 iron ore producing clients, which enables them to sustain and expand their mining operations throughout the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. As a trusted partner to the WA resource sector, Calibre is integrated in our Client’s Major Projects which enables up to go above and beyond and succeed together with our clients.
The Role:
Joining an integrated owners and EPCM team working on an iconic WA project, you will be responsible for ensuring that all contractual matters are properly negotiated, documented and compliant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in Mine Closure, that is looking to grow their career within the contracts and procurement space. Your day to day will look like -
- Contributing to and reviewing the scopes of work and contract conditions
- Administering, tendering, evaluation and award of contracts
- Assessing, reviewing and advising Senior & Project Management personnel of contractor claims for variations, progress claims and extensions
- Ensuring all commercial requirements of the contracts are satisfied
- Providing Senior & Project Management personnel with updates on contractor performance and assisting with the resolution of contracts disputes
Thrive with us! We hope you'll bring:
- 6+ years' experience in Contracts Administration/Advisory
- Understanding of project scope, objectives and constraints
- Experience awarding and administering $100+M construction contracts
- Clear and articulate communication skills for relationship building with senior leaders and suppliers
- Relevant qualifications - i.e. Economic, Business, Construction Management, Supply Chain etc
