Senior Contracts Lead (Facilities & Building Maintenance)

  • Salary Range Band 7 $104,946 - $117,440 plus 11% Super.
  • Full time, Permanent position.
  • Located at St Kilda Town Hall with flexible working arrangements possible.

About the Organisation 

The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses, and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Property Operations & Facilities you will work closely with Team Leaders, Coordinators, and officers to manage the Facilities & Building Maintenance contracts, including monitoring and reporting on contractor performance to meet customer service outcomes, environmental, and legislative requirements. The role will include the preparation of tender specifications and documentation, and participation in procurement processes including evaluation and contract implementation.

Duties:

  • Oversee and manage the procurement and administration of contracts.
  • Lead contract monitoring and reporting.
  • Determine process and methods of contract management and service delivery.
  • Adhere with procurement policy and exercise due diligence in implementing and managing contracts.
  • Work with stakeholders to deliver contract and project outcomes on time and within budget.

Skills and Experience 

  • Knowledge of facilities and Building Maintenance
  • Knowledge of procurement best practice and contract management
  • Experience in writing and applying specification documentation.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial procedures.
  • High level stakeholder management, collaborative, and customer service skills.
