About your new role:You’ll collaborate closely with the Works Delivery, Solutions Development and Sales teams to ensure successful energy transformation initiatives across Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Toowoomba, and Brisbane.You’ll take charge of overseeing commercial risk and liabilities ensuring we identify key risks to contract implementation and financial results. You’ll also develop effective strategies to safeguard contract commercial, delivery and compliance performance.Reporting into Major Projects Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing commercial contract arrangements and the delivery of assigned work portfolios and projects.You will ensure commercial strategies, plans and objectives are managed amongst key stakeholder relationships including leading complex negotiation, union consultation and providing advice and interpretation to all participants.Your role will be pivotal in the successful establishment and delivery of work, relative to lump sum Australian Standard contracts and long-term operations to provide active input into identifying and finding solutions.The position has been evaluated as Professional and Managerial Grade Two (PM2). The remuneration for your new role is from $159k plus 12.75% super for a 10-day fortnight. The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicant’s knowledge, skills and competencies that are required in this position. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Energy Queensland Union Collective Agreement 2020.About you:You should hold essential degree qualifications in business, engineering, project management and significant work experience in Australian Standard contracts for design and construct and construct only contracts.You have extensive experience providing contract management outcomes and you relish achieving commercial success and compliance when delivering to business objectives.You excel at working collaboratively to optimise contracts and you seamlessly maintain effective relationships with delivery partners and project managers with authorisation to negotiate on behalf of Project teams.If you're ready for your next challenge, apply now to join the Yurika team as a Senior Contract Specialist.Essentials
  • Degree in, business, engineering, project management, or related business fields, or an equivalent qualification and extensive work experience.
  • ‘C’ class drivers’ licence is required for this role
Desirable
  • Tertiary qualifications in law.
  • Project delivery management qualifications or experience to a level of competency that is equivalent.
