Senior Engineer – Electrical Control systems
TMR requires a highly experienced (Busways) Electrical/ ITS / Control Systems / Instrumentation Engineer / Project manager to assist with the delivery of the growing Busways Program of Control Systems Projects
Senior Mandatory Qualifications
Current RPEQ Certification (Electrical, Control Systems)
AB Logix program - Certificate of Achievement or equivalent
Recommended Knowledge & Qualifications
- Bachelor or equivalent in:
- Electrical Engineering, or
- Tunnel Control Systems and Instrumentation, or
- Intelligent Transport Systems.
- Significant knowledge & experience with testing motorway tunnel PLCs (& associated infrastructure), Macroview SCADA product expertise (or other industry recognised SCADA platform), ICT Communications & Road and tunnel Operations experience.
- Systems engineering expertise
- Allen Bradley, Siemens, National / Panasonic PLC tunnel systems testing and commissioning experience
- Qld Electrical Licence
- ACRS Cabling licence
- FIP integration / programming experience
- Systems integration expertise (familiarity with integrating using AB’s suite of protocols, Modbus RTU (serial) & TCP/IP, OPC server, SQL event server, DMP3, DB4, ControlNet, profinet, anybus etc)
General Tasks
- Assist the Principal Engineer (ITS/ Electrical) and Busways Engineering Team with PLC project related activities (engineering and technical), including Project Management and Delivery.
- Develop and manage Busway Control System Projects.
- Analyse PLC and associated designs and installations, identify critical risks/issues which require action and recommend the appropriate course of action to mitigate against.
- Ensure that professional engineering due diligence is applied all aspects of tunnel PLC design to ensure any level of risk does not exceed TMRs risk appetite at any stage.
- Provide designs and consultative advice to future proof the Busways’ Control Systems infrastructure for a robust and secure network, with long term maintenance at the forefront.
- Work with other consultants and team members as required.
- Provide related professional engineering advice as necessary.
- RPEQ certify PLC and electrical designs (if required)
- Provide engineering direct supervision of non-RPEQ engineers involved in PLC or associated electrical design activities.
- Adhere to TMR standards where they apply to any works undertaken such as TRUM, MRTS, Standard drawings, Type approved products
