Job description:
Our Project Controls business unit are looking for an additional Senior Cost Controller to join their team with skills in the development, delivery and ongoing maintenance of cost controls, systems and processes. It's a fast-paced, exciting gig that'll throw unique challenges your way, fuelling your expertise and career journey.
A typical day in the life of a Senior Cost Controller will see you:
- Maintain the Project Controls System to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting is provided in a timely manner. This includes managing the EcoSys reporting system to ensure data integrity.
- Provide Costing support at a functional level across the Authority. This includes undertaking various critical tasks at short notice and working from co-located Project offices to meet work requirements.
- Assist coordination of the Month End Cost Reporting Cycle for the Authority.
- Ensure Cost Controllers in delivery teams adhere to common standards and procedures.
- Assist coordination of project cost control activities at a Program level, including allocating and time phasing budgets, reporting cost deviations, cash flow reporting, cost forecasting and change management.
This is a three (3) year fixed term position. This role may require you to work from different alliance offices or in our head office located in Melbourne's CBD. You will also have the option to access flexible working arrangements if you need them.
You will be part of a team led by Ratnesh Varma (Cost Planning Manager), who has over 21 years of industry experience, including international experience in Malaysia, Middle East and India. With expertise across various major rail transport, infrastructure and energy projects, Rajnesh's extensive skillset and valuable insights can help you supercharge not only your work but your career!
This is a 3-year fixed term position, paying a salary between $130,673 and $174,869 plus superannuation.
About you
Let's get technical! - here is what else would assist you in excelling in this role:
- A relevant tertiary qualification Engineering or Quantity Surveying is mandatory
- Experience in the context of a major transport infrastructure project would be highly regarded.
- Experience with the use and management of EcoSys would be highly regarded.
- Proven ability to demonstrate Creativity, Accountability, Relationships, Empowerment, Safety (the LXRP CARES values)
