Senior Cost Engineer

Job Description:
At GHD, our Delivery Phase Services team are growing rapidly into a leading delivery partner for large-scale Hydrogen, Renewable Energy, Closure and Future Energy Minerals projects.
We are looking for a Senior Cost Engineer to join the team. You will be involved in the delivery and presentation of Project Controls on assigned projects, and operations, including Project Reporting, Estimating, Cost Engineering, Planning and Scheduling as well as Change Management
The projects we work on are significant, multidisciplinary projects that will enable the Delivery Phase Services team to achieve outstanding results for our clients. The position will offer great flexible working opportunities and is supported by an environment that encourages individual development.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• Performing, monitoring, and reviewing Cost Engineering across various projects which includes cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis across Project Delivery and Study phases.
• Produce well designed graphs, charts, and reports for communication with key stakeholders
• Assist in developing presentations of project detail budgets from estimates.
• Ensuring financial compliance with GHD's and/or Client systems
• Liaise with clients, peers and project managers on projects execution strategies from the perspective of Cost Engineering and general project control.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum 4 years related experience across multiple and diverse projects.
• Experience with Projects Controls software systems such as Prism, Ecosys, CMS, P6 highly desirable.
• Advanced knowledge of MS excel
• Great communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills with an ability to work closely with peers, external customers, and client counterparts
