My client is a Tier 1 Building Contractor who is taking on a different approach to the construction industry. They aim to drive change within the industry through their approach to technology, people and supply chain.
The company are delivering various projects across multiple construction sectors including healthcare, commercial, education, hotels up to $500M.
The Role
He / She is going to support the front end of the business unit and churn through tenders and pricing work, but also able to develop key relationships as the grow to strengthen their profile in the marketplace. This potential to turn into a National Role.
- Measure and create rated cost plans (ability to handle multiple tenders).
- Be part of Developing key relationships with Clients and QS to identify future work. opportunities and build pipeline.
- Provide high level cost planning advice to potential Clients.
- Assess Prelim estimate and forecasts against construction program.
- Manage the Request for Tenders process in the market and gain suitable trade coverage for each tender.
- Possess a good understanding of the Subcontractor trade market and identify suitable subcontractor base for each tender / project.
- Provide statistical and analytic breakdown for each tender of trade coverage / risk and opportunities and VM.
- Manage and pull together tender submissions and returnable schedules in stipulated time frames.
- Ability to present Cost plan and tenders to Clients, handle post tenders queries and submissions.

- Construction Management or Quantity Surveying degree.
- 10 years post graduate experience working for head contractor from a Tier 1/ 2 background.
- Construction experience delivering tenders within the building sector across Victoria.
- Friendly and approachable personality with a good head on your shoulders.
